WE NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE JOIN US!
We, the People of the United States of America, have the following grievances against our federal government:
The government has excessively and unnecessarily spent American taxpayers money
The executive branch has created the largest spending plan in the history of the United States.
Our legislators and law makers have stopped listening to the people. Instead they make decisions for political favors, in response to lobbyist, and for their own political gain.
The government is creating a class warfare by turning the poor against the wealthy and the wealthy against the poor. They do this by portraying the wealthy as corrput; they portray the poor has helpless and gullible.
The Congress and Senate have passed bills filled with unnecessary pet projects and pork projects. They have also tried to sell these projects to the American people under the guise of building the economy. They have no intention of getting rid of pork or pet projects.
Citizens' tax dollars are being used to bail out banks and consumers who made bad decisions.
The federal government has entangled themselves in private enterprise, which threatens the capitalistic monetary system on which our economy is based.
The federal government has continually and systematically taken duties from the states and made them duties of the federal government. In doing so, they have stripped the states of their sovreignity and made them dependent on federal money.

The Joplin Tea Party is a group of concerned American citizens who want to demonstrate our constitutional rights through peaceful demonstrations. We want the United States government to listen to the people and stop wasting the taxpayers' money. In the near future, we will be staging rallies in the Joplin, MO area to let our voices be heard. We are not only for Republicans or Democrats, liberals or conservatives. We are Americans. We stand for the Constitution. At this moment, the group is in the organzing and planning stage. We are starting a mailing list and would like to hear your ideas for activities to get things moving. Please join us in our effort to give the government back to the people.
